LOUISE’S LOVE LETTER

EDITION 37:

The Best Summer Stories Never Go Exactly as Planned 🌞

☀️ TODAY'S OBSERVATION

Apparently, summer laughs at our plans...and honestly, I think it's winning.

No matter how carefully we plan the perfect summer...

It rains on beach day.

Someone gets lost on the road trip.

The restaurant with the beautiful patio is closed.

The flight is delayed.

The ice cream melts before you find a bench.

And somehow...

those are the stories we end up telling for years.

Hey, Friend

I've noticed something.

The summers I remember most aren't the ones that went according to plan.

They're the ones that completely ignored it.

The wrong turn that led to the cutest little coffee shop.

The last-minute invitation I almost declined.

The conversation that lasted far longer than expected.

The person I never expected to meet.

Life has a funny habit of hiding some of its best moments inside interruptions.

Maybe that's true in relationships, too.

💜 SUMMER PLOT TWISTS

Some of my favorite summer memories happened because...

o the original plan fell apart.

o someone said, "Let's just see where this road goes."

o I stopped trying to control every little detail.

o I realized perfection was robbing me of the fun.

Funny how that works.

💜 THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG

This week's blog is about why summer makes every story feel like the beginning—and why that's actually a beautiful thing.

Sometimes the best chapter is the one you never planned to write.

💜 A LITTLE LOUISE LOGIC

Maybe life isn't asking us to have better plans.

Maybe it's asking us to hold them a little more loosely.

🌞 QUICK QUIZ

Are You Enjoying the Story...

...or trying to direct it?

☐ Do unexpected changes frustrate you more than they excite you?

☐ Do you spend more time planning memories than making them?

☐ Have you ever looked back and realized your favorite moment wasn't on the itinerary?

☐ Can you laugh when things don't go quite as planned?

Mostly "Yes"?

Congratulations.

You're officially collecting stories instead of perfect schedules.

☀️ A QUICK REALITY CHECK (WITH A SMILE)

Somewhere along the way we decided that every memorable summer needed perfect weather, perfect plans, and perfect company.

Meanwhile...half our favorite stories begin with,

"So...this wasn't supposed to happen."

💜THE WELL MOMENT

Worthy: You don't have to have a perfect life to enjoy it.

Emotionally Available: Leave room for unexpected joy.

Loving: Laugh with people more than you impress them.

Looking with Intention: This week, say "yes" to one small detour.

💥 LOUISE'S TRUTH BOMB

The best stories usually begin the moment we stop trying to control them.

💜 PASS IT ON

Know someone who always worries when plans change? Forward them this Love Letter.

They might discover the detour is where the story was waiting all along.

💜 CLOSING THOUGHT

Here's what I'm wishing for all of us this week:

More unexpected laughter.

More scenic routes.

More conversations that run long.

More stories worth retelling.

Less perfection.

Less rushing.

Less worrying about whether everything is going according to plan.

Because the best summer stories...never do.

With love, laughter, and absolutely no GPS for the heart,

Louise 💜
