LOUISE’S LOVE LETTER

EDITION 05:

Stop Dating the Future Version of Him

Hey Friend:

Okay. Let’s talk about the men we imagined dating. You know the ones:

We met them, felt the spark, and immediately started assembling the IKEA version of their emotional potential… while they stayed somewhere between “starting to grow” and “taking a nap.” 😌

This week’s blog post is for the gentle-hearted, hopeful, romantically optimistic women who have ever said:

He’s not there yet, but I can see who he might become.

Sis. We all have a PhD in future potential love stories.
But when we fall for the future version of someone — we overlook the real version in front of us.

This is where letter loops begin, repeat, and attempt to establish subletting arrangements in our lives.

We’re not doing that anymore.
Not on my watch. 💜

✨This Week’s Blog Post - talks about the men we dated in our heads in “Are You in Love — or Just Addicted to Potential”?
If you’ve ever defended someone with:
“But he’s trying…”
or
“He means well…”

This one’s for you.

 Book 2 Update — A Little Behind-the-Scenes Peek

Yes, Book 2 is currently in progress — and she is coming together beautifully. This one explores:**

The lessons learned from the wrong letters.
The patterns we didn’t notice until we took a step back.
The growth we achieved through hard work.

The wisdom we lacked the first time around.

It’s reflective. It’s honest.
It’s funny in the way hindsight always is.
And because you’re here — you’ll get the very first early excerpts as they develop.

More soon. I promise. 💜

🔥 Tiny Clarity Nugget (No Homework Required)

When you’re getting to know someone new, ask:

*“Do I love who they are right now — or who I hope they’ll become?”

Your answer will never deceive you.

We choose clarity over fantasy.
Peace over adrenaline.
Reality over potential.

And peace, by the way, is surprisingly attractive.

👀 Next Week: Blog Post 10:
“Dear Past Me: Stop Texting Him Back.”
A soft, funny, lovingly honest letter to who we used to be.
She tried. She learned. We love her.

With love — and the knowing eyebrow raise of shared experience,
Louise
